When they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, and ran about that whole country and began to carry here and there on their pallets those who were sick, to the place they heard He was.

When the people understood Jesus could heal their physical illnesses, they traveled great distances to find the Great Physician and reach Him for His healing powers. The same would happen today if people were aware of a person, place, or thing that could cure all ills, the mass migration would be staggering.
Yet, Jesus is here and where “two or three are gathered together, there I am in the midst of them” (Matt 18:20) is what He says. The Great Physician offers healing of the soul for all that would come to Him and be born again.
It is long past time that men everywhere should repent and value their souls more than their bodies.
