“O LORD God of hosts, restore us; cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.” (Psalm 80:19)
Do we believe God is the answer or just a part of a well-lived life. Repentance and a return to God are the only hope. If He is with us, we cannot fail. If He isn’t, we have already fallen.
Christians need to be the bellwether that leads the way in returning to God. If we do not take Him seriously, how can we expect others to? We must cease talking about being people of great faith and become people of great faith. We must be bold to seek the Son. As one friend put it, Christians has to be more than ‘cards and casseroles’.
Our lives need to show drastic transformation if we expect the world to see Him through us. We must shun infighting and petty quarrels. We must stop complaining about useless material things. We must actually tear down our bigger barns so that we may be rich toward God. We must call evil ‘evil’ and good ‘good’. We must honor marriage and value children as gifts from Him above.
Our choices either seek His face or lean on our own understanding. The time is now for us to live the values we have been professing to cherish.
