It is the least of these to whom God calls us to love because it is His character to show mercy to the downtrodden and afflicted.
No matter how small, weak, or insignificant you think you are – God sees you. Our job as Christians is to do likewise and open our eyes to see the smallest and frailest in this world. We should emulate Him and be messengers of His mercy in a cruel and heartless age.
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:27)
