“I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)
Profit is the ability to get more from something than what you put into it. If a business runs a profit, that means that the cost of supplies, overhead, and other expenses was less than what income that business received for its goods or services. Profit is a pretty hard think to make; which is why most business ventures fail.
A profit in life means the same thing – you get out of life more than you put into it. After all your years and efforts, will we have peace as we close our eyes or worry? Will we be left with regrets or filled with hope for eternity. God can teach us how to live life with joy and hope because we are putting our efforts into good things and investing our energy into Him who will give us everlasting life.
Not every way of living is equal. Some lifestyles will ruin you and leave you bankrupt. Only in Jesus is there a way that leads to life.
