“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Jesus is love, but He is also truth. This is the truth – we can’t be closet Christians. Our faith in Him needs to be known and shared. No excuses either. It doesn’t matter if the culture is sinful and adulterous. He expects public loyalty from His people.
It is a mealy-mouthed generation that shouts, “Amen” from the pew on Sunday, but refuses to mention Jesus anywhere else. We must be braver than this. We cannot afford to wait to tell receptive audiences about our Lord. We must speak of Him in hostile waters, too.
After all, most of His disciples started out as the opposition.
