“Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your lovingkindness remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.” (Ps 25:7)
The years of our youth are filled with choices… and nine times out of ten, we choose stupid. There is hardly an adult that doesn’t look back at their younger years and shake their head with a mixture of surprise that they survived and an involuntary cringe at some of the choices they made.
If God judged us based upon our most immature and foolish moments, we’d never have hope. Glory be to God that He redeems us from our past sins and remembers us as we are, not as we were.
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Php 3:14)
