Silence is Wisdom

“For he did not know what to answer; for they became terrified.”

(Mark 9:6)

When Peter offered to build a booth for Moses and Elijah, right alongside one for Jesus, he didn’t know what he was saying.  Turns out he didn’t know what to say he was so scared after the events of the transfiguration.  So, since he didn’t know what to say, he said something stupid.

Sound familiar?  I think we’ve all made the same mistake, too.  Here’s a life hack from Peter: if you don’t know what to say – don’t say anything.  Wisdom can be found in the silence.

“Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.” (Proverbs 17:28)
