Running Toward the Suffering

“Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?” (Isaiah 58:7)

What if the moments were that are full of tragedy are actually the ones that matter the most?  When the pandemic strikes, the fires burn, and fear and pain grip the rest of society, should we not be the ones found running toward the suffering?

We need to embrace the times of heartache as Christians because they are the moments that we were meant to rise up and shine in.  All of our training through His Word is to prepare us to do good when the opportunity strikes.

Let us make our Lord proud.  Let it be said that we divide with the hungry and welcomed in the homeless and covered the naked.  Let it be said that the Christians were seen in these times, not hidden.
