Redemption at its Finest

“When he [Manasseh] was in distress, he entreated the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.” (2 Chronicles 33:12)

King Manasseh’s life is an instruction manual of how not to live.  Everything he did in life was deplorable.

Until this verse.  With a broken and contrite heart, Manasseh buckled.  He realized a lifetime of regret and he did the first right thing in his life.  He humbled himself greatly.

And God was moved by it.  Our God, the gracious Creator, had been waiting for this moment and He showed up with love and second chances.

Manasseh is the story of God’s victory over evil.  Maybe you’ve led a Manasseh life. Or maybe you know someone you think will never come around.  Forgiveness, grace, and love can show it for us, too.

Manasseh is redemption at its finest and most beautiful.
