Life is 1% what happens to you and 99% how you react to it. My high school math teacher had that saying on his wall and I stared at it constantly while avoiding doing my work. Turns out, he might have had a point.
The Jews were very concerned about what food they ate, but what they had forgotten that the mouth is used for more than eating – it’s more important function is talking and that reveals the heart. What we say and how we react to life can defile you much more than any external event. Next time something happens to you, stop, pause, and decide what you will do next because you are in control of you.
