“Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, he preached Jesus to him.”
(Acts 8:35)
We can begin at whatever Scripture the person wants, but we better make sure that it ends with us preaching Jesus. Philip started in Isaiah, but by the time he was done teaching the Ethiopian eunuch, the man knew:
The crucified Jesus
The resurrected Jesus
The importance of faith in Jesus
The necessity of baptism in Jesus
The joy of living for Jesus
Wherever we start, we’d better end with Jesus. When you talk to your friends and neighbors, don’t forget to say His name.
