Cyrus thought it was his idea to let the Jews go free. Silly Cyrus, God was the one in charge, not him.
Rulers are only in charge because God lets them… Jesus told Pilate that in John 19:11. Remember, Christians need not worry about governors, presidents, kings, etc. They are all simply servants of the Most High.
