Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you.” (Isaiah 35:4)
I’m often amazed by the smallest of details in the Bible. Isaiah offers encouragement for the anxious hearted, but he does so without resorting to false securities or empty platitudes that everything will be okay.
He tells the anxious that they must be brave and that God’s vengeance is coming. He warns them that it will be hard… but that the hard will be worth it.
Remember Christians, this world is not our home and Satan has a varied assortment of traps and snares for us. Even (or maybe especially!) the greatest of faith will often have some very hard days.
But it will be worth it. He will save you.
