“The LORD says to my Lord: ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.’ ” (Ps 110:1)
This verse is oft quoted in the New Testament as being in reference to Jesus’ relationship with the Father, so it provides us a rare insight into the heavenly conversations between members of the Godhead.
If the Father would tell Jesus that He needed to wait before His desires and requests were answered (namely that every enemy be defeated), perhaps we can learn to wait for our prayers to be answered as well.
Maturity requires patience and God’s blessings only truly become blessings when they are accomplished with His timing.
Wait for the victory. The patience will be worth it.
“my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.” (Ps 130:6)
