“Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay, that what is made would say to its maker, ‘He did not make me’; or what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘He has no understanding’?” (Isaiah 29:16)
When we, the clay, forget about God, the potter, our lives lose all meaning and purpose. The further we turn from the One who made us, the more the injustices, corruption, and inequalities of life run rampant. A world that doesn’t recognize God is incapable of fairness and justice. Love and goodness are only words without the anchor of God behind them. What worth is the word ‘justice’ if we each get our own personal definition of it?
The clay is totally lost without the potter to mold it. A world without God is guaranteed to descend into chaos. We need Him who made us to show us the way to live. Clay cannot mold itself.
